About Master Wu

Master Amin Wu started training martial arts at the age of 5 and joined the professional team at age 11, studying Tai Chi full-time. She is a a graduate of Beijing University of Physical Education’s Wushu Department and a disciple of Li Bingci, Chief Master of the 4th Generation of Wu-Style Tai Chi.

During her professional career, Master Wu won innumerable competitions including 8 China national and international championships, winning the titles “China’s All Around Champion” for Tai Chi Chuan, Tai Chi Sword, and Tai Chi Push Hands.

Sifu Wu then taught Tai Chi on China Central Television for six years to millions of viewers, producing over 250 episodes. As a world-renowned expert on all five styles of Tai Chi – Chen, Yang, Sun, Wu and Wu (Hao) – Master Wu has created many of today’s popular Tai Chi routines and produced over a 100 instructional videos that are widely used by students and instructors worldwide.

Sifu Wu currently runs Amin Wu Tai Chi in the San Francisco Bay Area where she teaches Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Kungfu for kids, adults, and seniors with the goal of promoting health, happiness, and quality of life. Her students have won top awards in individual and team competitions. In addition, she frequently teaches classes and seminars at the local high-tech and medical communities.

Since the pandemic, Sifu Wu has offered online classes along with her in-person classes and teaches students world-wide. She continues to produce Tai Chi instructional videos in both Mandarin Chinese and English and regularly releases new content to her popular YouTube channel youtube.com/#SifuAminWu.
